The metal spray hood on this model is more sturdy than the plastic spray hoods. It is outfitted with a flexible side element, which folds back automatically upon contact with obstacles (e.g. tree stumps) and then swings subsequently back into place. Due to this mechanism, the spray width varies between 30 and 50 cm (12-20"). For this reason, this unit is suited to tree nurseries, for example, with narrow distances between rows.
